Hypertension Study for Senior Cats

Village Cat Clinic would like to invite our senior cats (7years and older) in for a free examination and blood pressure analysis. Of particular interest are cats with any kidney deficiency. Hypertension is a serious health concern that can lead to organ complications, vascular injuries and loss of sight. We are offering, to suitable candidates, the opportunity to participate in a study to gather data and help license telmisartan as a treatment for hypertension.

Cats that are candidates for the study will be entitled to free blood and urine analysis, as well as retinal photos that are analyzed by an ophthalmologist. As the owner you will be required to administer a dose of liquid medication for a 28 day period.  There will be 2 additional visits to the clinic for cats that do qualify at the first visit.

Also, there are monetary incentives if the cat completes the 28 day study, that are applied to the patient's clinic account for future use. Please contact Dr. Camilleri or Kim at 905-304-7877 to set up an appointment or for further information regarding this exciting opportunity in senior pet health care.
